The most badass-est movie reviews of all times!

Even though, for me, the rebooted PotA series is the better of the modern blockbuster series. Honestly, not trying to be a troll and fan flames here, but I do like this series far more than the Marvel Avengers series. Most X-Men, Deadpools, Daredevil & Punisher (on Netflix) are great, just not the ones connected to the Avengers.

He really isn't speaking specifically about the latest Star Wars films. This is one of many videos of interviews with Mark Hamill in which people try and take things out of context and make it sound like he is trashing the new films. He is not. This video is from 2016 and is posted by an account named "Jar Jar Abrams", if you were looking for any clue as to the intent of this person. I don't know when the interview was initially filmed, but it would be helpful to know when, relative to the release of The Force Awakens.

He is pointing out that Hollywood judges the success of movies only by the money they make, hence Transformers. He notes that companies, such as Disney, buying up other movie companies, should be cause for concern. How will Disney judge success of The Force Awakens? Probably on revenue, since TFA did about $2 billion. Does that make it a success or a good movie? That is actually the point he is making, that pure revenue doesn't judge success. I think his point is more that Star Wars makes a shit-ton of money, Transformers makes a shit-ton of money, but does that make Transformers a better/more successful franchise than Star Wars?

Rotten Tomatoes has most Transformers movies at sub-50%. Are they a failure? The last 2 Star Wars movies are sitting at 90+% on Rotten Tomatoes. Does that mean they are a success? I found TFA to be a fun, nostalgic Star Wars film, but it wasn't The Best Evar. I have seen TLJ twice in the last week. I think it is fantastic, almost as good as Empire, but it still has its problems.

The user review on Rotten Tomatoes for TLJ is 54%. Does this mean the movie is a failure? Or are user reviews just the internet rage machine, concentrated? I am done with aggregated/collected game and movie reviews on the internet. Too much hate, too much agenda-ranting. Nowadays, I have found some game and movie reviewers that seem to see games and movies like I do. I read their reviews and then judge for myself.

@RFlagg i tend to agree with both you and eric,but at the same time it is this mans perspective that drew me to his movie reviews.

i find it interesting how we,as humans,have the ability to project our own sensibilities onto things we admire.

Fuck gamergate. They are not, never have and never will be about "ethics in journalism".

They are straight-up misogynistic assholes that make me ashamed to be associated with an art medium/hobby that I've been involved with for over 30 years.

Let's just put this in context. They claim they are against the collusion of game companies and journalists.

First up, the specific instance they targeted was not a conflict of interest. There are absolutely, undoubtedly, HUGE collusions between game reviewers and games, but gg ignored all those because they were for AAA mainstream games that gg likes and instead accused journalists of giving higher review scores to indie games.

Here's a fucking hint: go read some movie reviews, and tell me if you see movie critics favouring indie movies over blockbusters. Of course they do. People who are seriously into something almost always prefer a niche product. See also: craft beer vs budweiser, restaurants vs McDonalds, etc. I could go on.

But here's the cheery on the big cake of poo.

When a games journalist dared to express an opinion against an otherwise well-reviewed game*, what did gamergate do? Applaud their journalistic integrity in offering a dissenting opinion?

Nope: they started a fucking campaign to get the game company to blacklist the reviewer.

The hypocrisy is simply staggering.

And I haven't even mentioned the doxing, the rape threats and so on.

Once again, fuck gamergate. Frankly, they're on a par with the KKK as far as I'm concerned.


* polygon gave Bayonetta 2 a score of 7.5/10 because the reviewer felt it was juvenille and over sexualised. gg started a campaign to get nintendo to block polygon. Nintendo, to their credit, ignored the little fucktards.

Yes, I haven't seen it, but this movie does remind me of my own coming of age story, just like I'm sure it does everyone else.

Contracts... Iron masks... Dungeons... Slaves... Nipple clamps... Blood stains... Ah, those innocent teenage years...

Serious ownage. Funny and informative as usual. Mr Plinkett always nails movie reviews, and all things movies. I enjoy his reviews way more then the movies themselves. Every.Single.Time.

If you people haven't watched other Red Letter Media movie reviews, you are missing out a huge part of cinematography!
They are extremely detailed, educational, insightful and entertaining to watch! Well worth the time!

Not only is this movie about dancing and ballet, but it is also about Christianity and bringing people closer to God.This movie completely changed my life and my relationship with God. My friends and I were the only people in the entire theater building, even though it's usually packed. We think that means something. And at the end of the movie my friend sort of blacked out and saw God. I felt someone embrace me. AKA God! So if you have any rude or bad comments, keep them to yourself. You don't need to express your different religious beliefs on a Christian movie review.This is a fantastic movie. So, please go see the movie! It has a powerful, amazing message for everyone!
