WikiWars - this should be a professional sport

"To win a WikiWars round, one must click to from one specific Wikipedia article to another using only links within Wikipedia articles. Victory requires mental focus, precise clicking, a surprisingly large need for a knowledge of geography, & the ability to not start hyperventilating."

GIF isn't pronounced JIF, dummy-heads!

Very interesting and looks like a fun challenge, though I kind of wish they'd breakdown each of their respective paths, page by page, just to satisfy my curiosity.

I know! I always have been pronouncing it with a hard "G", not a soft "G". If it were meant to be pronounced with a soft "G" then it would be spelled with a "J"!

Exactly. It's not called the Jraphics Interchange Format.

They'd probably also call that other image format "gay-pegs."

What about pangees? How do you pronounce them?>> ^lucky760:

According to Steve Wilhite, the creator of the GIF format, the original pronunciation deliberately echoes the American peanut butter brand, Jif, and the employees of CompuServe would often say "Choosy developers choose GIF", spoofing this brand's television commercials.
